The Cheshker Story
From its earliest inception in 2019 which started from just a simply idea of an arrow directional movement game, it has transformed and gone through many iteration changes to become what it is today,
It was created by Mitchell Gray who is an Aussie tradie from Marulan NSW Australia, He had to learn how to use 3D design and graphic design software he also learned how to use 3D printers with no prior knowledge or experience, all this was required to be able to prototype and start to manufacture the game.
Multiple prototype designs were created and many rules were changed and adapted as he was persistently working late nights on the game and all doing this while still getting up early every morning and going to various building sites working full time each day so that he could support his family,
It started with a small office desk inside the house, then it grew to become a prototype station which was set up and then it eventually filled up the whole dining room area of the family house with tables, tools, equipment and boxes all over the floor, now it has progressed and is manufactured in the work shop in the shed.
Mitchell didn’t do it all alone, he had plenty of help from family and friends who supported this journey, his nephew Liam who drew and designed the clip art images, his nephew Kaeden who is a whizz with making YouTube vids and with the help and support from his daughter Enora, partner Reshmi, his brothers, his sister, his nephews and his grand uncle Barry who all helped to play and test the game.
The CHESHKER journey has just begun, the hope is that its awareness can continue to grow and become a game for people to play for fun and education in their spare time or on their holidays, for others who are serious gamers they can choose to deeply study different playing strategies and invent new openings to test out and then play tournaments against each other to see who will become a Cheshker Master Commander.
